Amnesia: the loss of a large block of interrelated memories; complete or partial loss of memory caused by brain injury, shock, and cultural mayhem.
Sally Lelong is a visual storyteller. Her installations and gallery exhibits are thematic, whereby the work on display and all aspects of how she presents it give clues to illuminate observations and inner experiences. As she describes: “I strive to relate moments of self-reflection with my work that extends into the viewer’s imagination. Whether creating theater environments or aesthetic propositions, the response a piece evokes is its narrative. For her current show, “a m n e s i a” the work on display draws attention to things we are grateful to forget for as long as we can. (more)
