Antonio Ferrera - Trick-Or-Treat Continues...

The Phatory LLC is pleased to announce the next series of window projections by artist-in-residence, Antonio Ferrera, which will be visible from the sidewalk from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. Friday through Saturday nights starting December 4th through January 30, 2010.

Antonio Ferrera began his residence at The Phatory with Trick-Of-Treat: a video and sound meditation on jack o’ lanterns which was installed in the gallery’s front window for the holiday and is now continuing his experiments with new video projects that will change on a weekly basis through the end of his residency.

Antonio Ferrera is an award winning independent producer/director who is based in NYC. His list of film works include The Gates - the 2008 Peabody Award winning documentary about Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s Central Park nstallation. Voices of Cabrini - a documentary that follows the re-development of Chicago’s Cabrini Green housing project and chronicles the ensuing effects of displacement on the African-American community as residents become uprooted from their homes and community. With The Filmmaker - a film featuring half-hour portraits of Robert Duvall, Jane Campion, Martin Scorsese, and Wes Anderson for the IFC channel. Before I Leave - a ten-minute monologue on remembrance, memory, and death produced for the Bill Moyers’ NOW television show. It’s an Adventure - a documentary about director Wes Anderson and Bill Murray shot in Rome during Wes Anderson’s filming of A Life Aquatic. And, Masada: Live at Tonic - 1999 a documentary that captures the acclaimed multi-instrumentalist John Zorn in concert.
